Stop Motion Model Design
The large torso will be made from lightweight core to avoid any balance problems. The shape of the core will restrict movement but the character is supposed to have a small range of movement and not be agile so the body shape will emphasise this when animating.

GamingI designed this character to be used in a gaming, I simplified the character by removing unneccesary details and squared off features like the hair and feet to reduce polygon count.

VFXThis character was designed for VFX so I have use life like textures to make it as realistic as possible and added extra details such as nails and lines on the chest and legs to show bones.
I also put this character into context by using an image of a real landscape similar to the ones that would be used. To make it look real I worked out where the light in the shot would be coming from and then added shadows down the corresponding side of Grog's body and a large shadow on the floor. |
BroadcastI designed this character for TV broadcast. Production time for TV broadcast needs to be substanially lower than for other formats so this character is semi-simplified by removing extra details on the arms and legs.
